About Us
Coyote Kids is one of a handful of privately owned centers in the Henderson/Las Vegas area (most are large or national corporate centers). We provide a personal touch. Over the last three decades, it is not uncommon to have children of children who attended be part of our program. Uniquely, several of our former pre-schoolers have returned as adults to be teachers.
Our center at Coyote Kids is unconventional. Rather than separating them by age and confining them in one room all day, the children are divided randomly each day, enabling them to rotate to different areas of our facility for their activities. This provides opportunities for the children to get to know many children, and keep the process of learning exciting for them. We put a huge emphasis on storytelling and music, with designated areas for these activities. Our art room encourages creativity; our science and math areas strengthen experimentation and deduction and free play; and our outdoor classroom provides not only lots of fun, but also social learning interacting with their peers.
Because of our close proximity to Beehive Homes, the senior assisted living home on the property adjacent to Coyote Kids, the children have the unique opportunity to visit with the "grandpas and grandmas" next door. We walk over to perform for the residents, exchange valentines, "trick or treat," and interact with the residents, which brings joy to both populations.

Linda Schlueter is the owner of Coyote Kids. Miss Linda has over a decade of experience working with preschool age children and is a hands on director. All of our staff meet the Nevada licensing requirements, which includes background checks, CPR/First Aid, and early childhood training. They have a genuine love for children and embraces each child's individual needs.
